1954 was the first vintage of Brunello di Montalcino Tenute Silvio Nardi. The Brunello di Montalcino wine Consortium was still far from being created. Tenute Silvio Nardi is one of the first companies to bottle its own wine and today, extraordinary bottles of the Fifties and Sixties are well kept in the historical cellar. Zoning, clonal selection and replantation projects are carried on. Scientific research goes side by side with the experience of tradition. Brunello Tenute Silvio Nardi is a blend of 20 different vinifications of Sangiovese from different plots of Casale del Bosco and Manachiara estates.
750 mlIntense ruby red colour with garnet highlights. Intense and complex aromas at the nose, rich in ripe fruits, spices and toasted notes.
Smooth and full-bodied at the palate, with great persistence and wide concentration. Tannins are dense and velvety, but with lots of backbone, capable of aging for 10-plus years
