Tamnavulin single casks have been rare to see in the wild up until recently. This bottling of Tamnavulin comes to us from Valinch & Mallet. Distilled in 2009, it was matured in a Bourbon Hogshead for 10 Years before being bottled at 51.5%. 317 bottles total for the world.

Relatively speaking, Tamnavulin is a baby. The distillery was only founded in 1966, and a core range wasn't even a twinkle in the owners' eyes until just a couple years ago. It's almost certain that most of Tamnavulin's production, even today, finds its way into the Whyte & MacKay family of blends. It's a shame really, as the distillate is good. While it would be nice to see the range expanded to include some higher age statement expressions...baby steps; we're just happy to see it finally being made available.
