The Cadboll is Glenmorangie's first single estate whisky, made from barley grown on its Cadboll Estate. Matured exclusively in first fill ex-Bourbon Barrels before bottling at 43%.

"Our first single estate whisky created at the Distillery’s home from grain to glass. For this limited edition, the whisky’s barley was grown only in the fields of the Cadboll Estate which surround our Distillery, for a spirit of unique creaminess. Aged for 15 years and matured exclusively in first-fill American oak bourbon barrels, this single malt brings an intense oak depth and a rounded smoothness."
Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Intense and crunchy, with lots of oak, peanut brittle, malty or biscuity notes, and hints of crème brûlée. After a while, some orange oil and lemon zest. Ripe pear emerges, along with a subtle hint of menthol. A splash of water opens the floral nature of the whisky with hints of jasmine, rose and honeycomb.
Palate: A voluptuous, creamy texture leads into an explosion, of soft, rich, sweet flavours: heather honey, butter candy, white chocolate, pears, apricots and mandarin segments, along with a balancing eucalyptus or menthol note.
Finish: The flavour lingers for a long time, with more sweet mandarin orange, gentle toasty oak and vanilla.

Elegantly packaged in a cognac like bottle the whisky has been matured in bourbon barrels before finishing in Oloroso sherry casks.

"To create it, we gather the silky, fruity spirit from our giraffe-high stills and let it steep in American oak casks. No less than 15 years later, we transfer a portion into Oloroso sherry casks for three more years. Once 18 years have passed, we reunite them to create its warm balance of sweet, floral lushness. Rich marmalade flavours brush against honey and fig, touches of caramelized orange and far-off campfire smoke. Have a taste, and let your imagination wander to the edge of an autumn afternoon."

The whisky begins with a base of the same spirit that goes into Glenmorangie Original, 10 year old whisky matured exclusively in American oak Ex-Bourbon casks. The whisky is then finished for 2 years in Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez, Spain.
