Finish: long, with a lingering pepper and spice.
Andrew's Tasting Note - On a 23 Year Sister Cask
Nose: honeyed and nutty with stewed fruits, polished church pews and chocolate-orange marzipan; thick, creamy, floral and toasty.
Palate: big, round, creamy and nutty; doughy with more stewed and also some dried fruits; linseed oil and more polished church pews; am I getting a touch of smoke? burnt caramel, cloves and dark baker's chocolate; toss in some leather and tobacco for good measure.
Finish: long, drying and coating with tingling spices.
Comment: Inchmurrin has a curious umami-like characteristic; I don't see in many other whiskies; this is the oldest Inchmurrin we've ever had at KWM!
Producer Tasting Note - On a Sister Cask
Nose: Mellow Fruits, rich vanilla, and Pain au Raisin.
Palate: Smooth with Christmas pudding, and custard.
Finish: Fruity and satisfying with slight oak.
