After years of searching, there appeared in April 2013 a unique opportunity to acquire the first three contrade on the northern slopes of Etna. Carricante, a native Sicilian grape variety, is trained in espalier and alberello at an altitude of 600/750m asl. Area of production: Contrada Arrigo, Linguaglossa and Castiglione di Sicilia in the Contrade Verzella and Pietramarina where the freshness of the land allows full ripening of the Carricante without altering its aromas. It displays great freshness and minerality on the palate, with hints of of flowers and stone fruit accompanied by some mineral notes.
