Matured in ex-Bourbon, this limited edition single malt bottled by Jack Ryan was finished in Madeira casks from Justino’s of Santa Cruz. Bottled at 46%, this is the 3rd release in "The Generation Trilogy."

Producer Tasting Note

Nose: Clean orange sweets not cut by grass- lifted by it - and plenty of quirky wood sugars injected into citrus. An ode to orange in notes of bark. Orange honey, subtle saps, Old-fashioned hotel candy coexists with actual blood orange as well as marmalade, tannin, and a waxier leafiness drying back to citrus leaves. Flirts after water, between honeydew and honeysuckle with a glance back to citrus leaves.

Palate: On to the cousins. Clean clementine, clean tangerine, a little dark blood orange, that leaf and tanning counter-note now seamlessly engrained into the subtleties of the orange. With water, a pithier drop with more tanginess than sweetness and more crackle than wax.

Finish: The pendulum finally swings from the oranges to their trees and leaves. Not zesty or even spry so much as leafy and pale, but with a mouth-drying taste that makes the surviving sweet citrus linger long after the sip. Water adds a lingering tang at the price of those leaves.
