A rich Merlot from an organic winery in Puglia, Italy, the Amastuaola Capocanale is fantastic value for the quality of wine. On the nose it's all ripe blueberries and chocolate, on the palate the tannins are ripe and smooth with dark fruit and savoury notes. The finish is long with more intense lingering fruit. A delicious wine to sip on its own, but also a great pairing for charcuterie (especially spicy Italian salami) and hard cheeses.
