A 30 year old cask strength single cask of Glenrothes, from Gordon Macphail's Connoisseurs Choice Upper range. Distilled in 1988 and filled in to a Refill American Hogshead. 200 bottles have been released worldwide at 58.5%.

Producer Tasting Note

Nose: Hints of aromatic kaffir lime add a zesty freshness to a pronounced sweetness - apricot jam, peaches in syrup, and brandy snaps. Spicy ginger and toasted malt aromas develop over a vanilla toffee undertone.

Taste: Thick and mouth-coating; warming ginger spice with woody undertones complement sugared red apples.

Finish: Medium-bodied finish with lingering fruity notes.
