This 12 year old GlenAllachie has been bottled at 48% after finish in PX Sherry, it is part of the Wood Finish collection.
Producer Description
"This glorious rich mahogany malt has been matured for over ten years in American Oak Wood Barrels. The additional maturation in richly seasoned Pedro Ximenez Puncheons enriches the flavour, creating a sweeter, fruitier whisky. The casks are regularly monitored to ensure the perfect balance between our single malt and this luscious dessert sherry. Natural colour, unchilfiltered and bottled at 48%.

Nose: sticky toffee pudding with treacle sauce and vanilla ice cream; figs dipped in honey, Panda brand liquorice, cooked raisins and date squares; soft, chewy and malty.
Palate: rich, decadent and fruity; there is a base of vanilla and honey, but layered over with sweet PX Sherry tones; more dark fruits: raisins, dates and figs; more treacle sauce and sticky toffee pudding; milk chocolate coated espresso beans; soft fruits, leather and fruity tobacco.
Finish: coating and rich with more dark fruits and decadent tones.
Comment: further proof that Billy Walker is working towards the GlenDronachification of GlenAllachie; and proof that he is making progress in that direction!

Nose: A storm of raisins, sultanas, dark chocolate, bananas and orange peel.
Taste: Brimming with fruit cake, dark chocolate, toffee, bananas, orange peel and sweet spices.
