Know anyone turning 40 in 2020, this would make a great gift, and 1980 vintages are increasingly hard to find. Matured 38 years in a Refill Hogshead, this Winter 2018 Family Cask release has been bottled at the perilously low cask strength of 43.3% from cask No. 1916. No tasting notes or reviews on this one, but we expect it is light and very tropical... right in Andrew's wheelhouse. It's sister cask scored 89pts with the guys at Whisky Fun.

This is still one of the best value 40 year old whiskies on the market, bottled at 43%, after maturing primarily in Ex-Sherry casks. Canadian allocations of this whisky are getting tighter and tighter. We expect it will be a once annual release, and that the price will start going up precipitously in the years ahead... so don't tell us we didn't tell you so!
