Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: great depths of fruit, subtle honey, clotted cream and violets on a warm spring morning; juicy orange, ripe mango and canned pineapple; lemon tarts and warm shortbread with whisky butter cream icing.
Palate: soft, creamy, floral and decadent with light but crisp spices and a touch of musty old oak; more violets, clotted cream and candied ginger, cellery salt and damp leather; green mangos and bananas; more butter cream icing on shortbread and salted caramel.
Finish: medium-long, coating, decadent and creamy with more floral-fruity tones; elegnat and toasty.
Comment: a delicate old dram with a smooth profile for the strength; decadent, floral, fruity and spicy; a dram to long for spring with!
