Nose: Earthy dried fruit and roasted hazelnut, with marmalade, peach, plum and burnt toffee.
Taste: A rich sherry sweetness, red berries, nuttiness and toffee, with a hint of liquorish and clove.
Finish: Lingering mixed spice, trail-mix, crisped marshmallow, dry tannins and spice with toasted wood.

This single malt is produced from the legacy stock the family took after selling their first distillery, Cooley, to Beam Global (now Beam Suntory). The whisky has no age statement but consists of whiskies of different ages, the oldest of which were laid down into oak in 1991. The whisky is matured in American oak but finished in five different wine casks: (Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy, Cabernet Sauvignon). The whisky is bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtering.

Teeling does cask finished Irish Whiskey well, and the small-batch is no exception. Finished for up to a year in Rum Casks, it definitely has a good amount of rum influence on this bottle. 46% ABV.

Like its older sibling, production of this small-batch Irish single malt is limited to just 6,000 bottles a year. Matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, expect deeper fruits and spice notes than you'd normally find on a triple distilled whiskey from the Emerald Isle. Bottled at 40%.
