This new very limited Bourbon has been selected and bottled for the Alberta market by importers Fountana Beverage Co. A huge hit at our Fall single malt festival, it has been flying off the shelves.

Evan's Tasting Note
Nose: New lumber, oak staves, cloves, bread dough, almonds, crushed walnuts, peach & ginger tea, cranberries, coconut, hints of marzipan, nougat, and pancake syrup.
Palate: Wood spices along with fresh ginger up front, peaches and nectarines, toasted walnuts & almonds, sponge toffee, ripe bananas, cantaloupe and honeydew melon with a light drizzling of honey over it all.
Finish: The spices are right up front and they linger. Over time they soften and make way for a soft sweet finish.
Comment: A fresh, spicy, yet approachable high strength single barrel bourbon.

One of the most iconic bottles in the whiskey world. That red wax dipped neck has been the calling card of Maker's Mark - one of America's finest wheated bourbons. Maker's Mark is made from a mash bill of 60% Corn, 26% Red Winter Wheat, and 14% Malted Barley. It is aged between 7 to 9 years in heavily charred virgin oak before being bottled at 45%.

Maker's Mark is a mellow bourbon, made with wheat in place of rye with a mash bill of 60% Corn, 26% Red Winter Wheat, and 14% Malted Barley. To create the Maker's 46, the Bourbon has been finished in the same barrels as the regular but with new French oak staves inserted to add additional flavours of caramel, spice and vanilla. Firm, complex dry spices, herb, and some polished leather "grip", which dovetails well with Maker's trademark layered sweetness, Dried fruit and somewhat aggressive, but never excessive oak.
