This Whisky Doris bottling of Glen Garioch was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2014  at 51.6% after 22 years for Heads & Tails a new Canadian importer. Only 60 bottles have come to Canada, and most have already sold. 

Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: thick with creamed honey and marzipan, toasted almond flakes, subtle smoke and candied orange slices; lots of melons, baked apple and poached pear.

Palate: creamy and toasty, clean smoke and some firm juicy malt; big crisp spices, burnt caramel and burnt orange peel; more baked apples and poached pear, with almonds, creamed honey and marzipan.

Finish: long, creamy, smoky and very fruity with traces of juicy malt.

Comment: the smoke was much more firm on the palate than the nose implied, but the cream and fruits keep it nicely in balance.
