Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: honey, malt and floral tones, melons, pineapple and dried dark fruits; the nosefeel is silky and elegant.
Palate: light, creamy, toasty and spicy; lots of woody spices: clove and fennel, building dried dark fruits, coffee grounds, creamy melon and tobacco; lots of layers with juicy orange.
Finish: long, but light drying and spicy with lots of toasty oak.
Comment: richer and more complex than the 12 with a darker profile.

Matured in ex-Bourbon casks before bottling at 46% without added colour or chill-filtering.
Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Pronounced orchard fruits and vanilla pod mingled with aromas of citrus peels and toasted nuts.
Palate: Sweet and creamy with layers of sugared almond and panna cotta followed with notes of dried apple, nutmeg and cocoa powder.
Finish: Perfectly balanced with creamy rice pudding and gentle cinnamon spices lingering long on the tongue.

"A new livery for the 15, it’s true that the former one was quite strange. Jim McEwan used to say this 15 was his favourite malt, after Bruichladdich of course (err, probably!) Colour: straw. Nose: it’s not that often than a 15 is a 10+5 years, if you see what I mean. Yeah, well, I mean that this one noses exactly like the 10 with five extra-years, that is to say with more vanilla, more spices (soft ones here) and a more refined fruitiness (added ripe strawberries here). The rest is similar (apples, lemon, wax, smoke.) Very nice. Mouth: exactly the same happens on the palate, all flavours playing louder this time. That means that it’s big whisky, full flavoured, interestingly citrusy and getting maybe just a tad too grassy/dry after a while. Quite some vanilla. Gets then funnily medicinal (no Laphroaig though), a tad camphory. Eucalyptus drops. Finish: long, still very zesty. Comments: more complexity in this one, a very entertaining profile. We like this one a lot, and it’s rather fairly priced. SGP:641 - 87 points."

The other distilleries are Craigellachie, Macduff (bottled as The Deveron), Aberfeldy, and Royal Brackla. Aultmore Distillery resides in Speyside and has been around since 1896. The Aultmore 12 is bottled at 46% ABV.
