Tuthilltown distillery was the first distillery in New York since prohibition. It's Manhattan Rye Whiskey had been created to resurect a style of whiskey popular in the New York area prior to prohibition. All of the ingredients are sourced within 10 miles of the distillery. 

From the Distillery: "Our rye whiskey is known for its spiciness; its rich and shifting flavor and aroma. The spirit’s peppery start transitions to a honey-cinnamon depth. Note the butteriness that lingers after each sip. Needless to say, this spirit makes an incredible Manhattan. Try the “Hudson Manhattan” recipe listed in the recipes section on our website."
