Selected by and bottled exclusively for the Kensington Wine Market, a single barrel bottling of 1792 Ridgemont Reserve from Barton distillery. Hunter and I travelled down to the distillery in June of last year, and it has nearly taken a year for the whisky to find its way to Canada. 

Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: big and nutty, butter tarts and pecan pie; loads of caramel: dark chocolate flowerless caramel tarts; orange and melons open up with some musty oak and rickhouses on a hot day.

Palate: big and rich, warming, spicy and decadent, lots of caramel and more butter tarts and pecan pie; earthy with silky oak and emerging fruits, orange, more melon and chocolate covered strawberries; demerara sugars and French coffee in a bodum. 

Finish: long, rich, clean and warming, the finish like the palate is layered but silky.

Comment: this is a big Bourbon but balanced, layered but smooth; we know you are going to love it.
