A Kensington Wine Market exclusive! Dominique Moreau took over a small vineyard of mostly 40 to 50-year-old Pinot Noir, with a vision of producing single-vineyard, single varietal, single vintage Champagnes from biodynamically grown grapes- farmed with meticulous care, and vinified au naturel. Brut Resonance is 100% Pinot Noir. It is a brilliant, energetic wine endowed with gorgeous richness and depth. Succulent apricots, peaches, flowers and crushed rocks are some of the many nuances that take shape in the glass. Chalky notes linger on the precise, beautifully articulated, eternal finish. The winery is named after Moreau's grandmother, Marie Courtin.
750ml mlChampagne Marie Courtin and the small estate that comprises the vineyards are named after winemaker Dominique Moreau's grandmother.
Dominique Moreau has been making champagne on her tiny 2.5 ha estate since 2006. The vineyard is located in Champagne's southernmost region, the Côte-de-Bars, in the village of Polisot. The winery is named after her grandmother and she produces single varietal, single vineyard, single vintage, no dosage champagnes. The vines were planted in the 1970s and are farmed organically & biodynamically.
The estate's vineyard is mainly comprised of Pinot Noir and a small section of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The combination of soils, an east/southeast sloping exposure and her own separately cultivated yeasts allows Dominique to create wines that are electric and chiselled, with an intense brininess and minerality at their core. Marie Courtin is an exciting estate whose name and reputation are skyrocketing.
