A fresh new small-batch gin from 35 Maple Street in Sonoma, California! These elegant hand-numbered bottles look like old-fashioned medicine bottles. According to the distiller, you'll find notes of "tangerine, lemon blossoms and blue flowers" in this fine gin, named after 35 Maple Street founder August Sebastiani's favourite uncle. Uncle Val, aka Valerio Cecchetti, is a retired doctor in Italy, and the botanicals used to make the gin are the same ones he likes to use when he's cooking: lemon, juniper, cucumber, sage and lavender.

The Pimm's tradition is almost as entrenched in British culture as the cup of tea. Pimm's was invented in the 1840s, by the owner of an oyster bar in the City of London. James Pimm offered the tonic (which was a gin based drink containing quinine and a secret mixture of herbs) as an aid to digestion, and served it in a small tankard. This is where the "No. 1 Cup" moniker arose. A traditional Pimm's cocktail includes one slice of cucumber, a sprig of mint and two parts of ginger ale to one part Pimm's. A favourite at KWM!

Tanqueray Gin was initially distilled in 1830 by Charles Tanqueray in the Bloomsbury district of London. Yet, despite its name, London Dry Gin is primarily produced in Scotland. London Dry Gin is made through double distillation of a neutral grain spirit with botanicals added during the second distillation. Key botanicals used to make Tanqueray are juniper, coriander and angelica root. Tanqueray is now made in Cameron Bridge, Scotland.

Although the brand hints a gin's heyday at the height of the British Raj in India, the brand only dates from 1987. Its name was chosen through a competitive process which pitted Madison Avenue ad firms against each other. Botanicals include: almond, lemon peel, liquorice, juniper berries, orris root, angelica, coriander, cassia, cubeb, and grains of paradise. The spirit is triple-distilled using a carterhead still. Bombay is a more floral and soft gin that the "punchier" ones distilled in copper pot stills.
