This Bourbon is still single cask like the rest of the family, but has been bottled at 40% which means it is much softer. As this is a single barrel Bourbon it can vary considerably according to batch. It was launched in 1984 as the world's first single-barrel Bourbon. There are 4 different expressions of Blanton's, all of them sold in the same distinct bottle. The bottles are all sealed with one of eight different horse and rider tops which feature one of eight letters: "B" "L" "A" "N" "T" "O" "N" "S". Named for Albert Blanton who was employed by the distillery for 55 years, running it for many of those.

Evan Williams whiskey is named after Kentucky's first distiller, who began plying his trade in 1783. The Evan Williams Single Barrel may change slightly in style with every single barrel and each vintage, but it is always one of the quintessential American Whiskeys. It is made by Heaven Hill Distillers at their Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY and bottled at 43.3% ABV.
