Situated to the north of Lake Grandlieu, the commune of Bouaye enjoys excellent exposure. Its south-facing slopes, covered with gravel, favour early maturity. Harvested at the limit of over-ripeness, this Muscadet has been aged for 6 years on fine lees in underground tanks. Try it with fish in sauce, scallops or goat cheese. A real gastronomic Muscadet, 100% Melon de Bourgogne, as it is also known.
The average age of the vines is 35 years,a citrus-driven white wine aged sur lie (on the lees), which imparts a creamy texture as well as floral and light spice notes to the wine. This is a great wine for pairing with oysters, mussels, scallops, salads, or a grilled cheese sandwich!
From The Producer
"This Muscadet is a blending of various parcels with an average age of 35 years. Fruity and elegant, this wine is typical of the Côtes de Grandlieu wine appellation."

Jancisrobinson.com Tasting Note (2020 Vintage)
Tamlyn Currin - "Smells of lemon ice. The vinous version of a G&T – lashings of quinine, salt, lemon, a kind of minerality, a linear (verging on hard) freshness and edge. Classic, textbook Muscadet Sur Lie. Serve ice-cold with fresh oysters in the sunshine."
