Glenora distillery was founded in 1990 in Glenville, Nova Scotia. The distillery was the first to produce malt whisky in Canada. The distillery's first 10 year old was released in 2000. Distillery tasting notes: Nose Subtle, summer-cut applewood and Highland honey; Taste: waves of powerful malt, then a complex orchard of flavour; Finish: Rich, almost lubricious mouthfeel, the malt withdraws into heat. The peat is very subtle - wisps of hardwood smoke, and autumn leaves.
