Jaspi Negre is part of the Coca i Fitou range of wines produced in the Montsant and Terra Alta DO's. Jaspi is produced mainly from old vine Grenache (40 to 90 years old), along with Carignan, Syrah and a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon, all from Montsant. It's a great example of the sort of value you can still find in Spain. The Jaspi white is equally good at the same price point.
