Quintessential Kentucky Straight Bourbon, just the way we like it: big and bold!
Ezra Brooks KSB is a heavily-awarded Kentucky bourbon which has only recently relocated to Bardstown and set up shop with their 43 foot custom copper still. The location may be new, but this is the same ol' juice you've known and loved since the 1950s. A triple mashbill of corn, rye and (just a little) barley means this one is a sweet and spicy treat and pretty much what you'd expect for a rye-heavy bourbon. The 45% abv only serves to amplify the flavour nuances.

Buffalo Trace distillery is named after the trails of destruction that Plains Bison would leave as they moved from one place to the next. Like Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, Stagg Jr, and EH Taylor Bourbons, Buffalo Trace Bourbon is made using the distillery's #1 Mash Bill, which is a high corn/low rye content mash in style. This means it is a very high corn content and likely at or less than 10% Rye, with 3-5% Malted Barley making up the remainder. It is purportedly aged for 8-10 years before being bottled at 45% ABV.

Old Forester 86 Proof is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon made at Old Forester Distillery in Lousiville. The Old Forester Distillery is owned by Brown-Foreman, who also owns the Woodford Distillery which is responsible for Woodford Reserve and is located in Versailles, Kentucky.
Old Forester's Bourbon mash bill is purportedly the same as that for its Woodford Reserve cousin, which is 72% Corn, 18% rye, and 10% Malted Barley.

According to company lore, the first batch of Bulleit was first made in the 1800s by Augustus Bulleit, but discontinued after his death. In 1987, the great-great-grandson of the original creator, Tom Bulleit created the first modern-day batch, which was introduced in 1999. In 1997 Bulleit was bought by Seagram, and is now distilled in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Following an acquisition of Seagram, the Bulleit brand is now owned by Diageo. This Kentucky Straight Bourbon has been matured at least 6 years, and is bottled at a strength of 45%. It is made from at least 30% rye grain, giving it a rich, deep flavour.

Made by Heaven Hill Distillers in Kentucky, The Evan Williams 1783 gets its name from the year Evan Williams originally established his distillery. It is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled at 43% ABV. Mashbill: 75% corn, 13% rye, 12% barley.
