Glenlivet is one of Scotland's iconic distilleries, and the 21 year old is one of their prestige bottlings. Recently repackaged, it is beautifully presented. Full bodied, spicy, chocolate and cream. The Glenlivet 21Year Old Archive is a batch produced whisky using only hand-selected casks. It is a complex whisky with sherried and wood notes integrating seamlessly with the aromatic palette.

The Glenfarclas 105 was featured on Day 7 of our 2021 KWM Whisky Calendar.
The Glenfarclas 105 was introduced more than 50 years ago, back in 1968. It was the first small batch, cask strength Single Malt Whisky released by a distillery. Like everything that Glenfarclas Distillery releases, the whisky within the 105 was matured entirely in ex-sherry casks. No age statement is given on the bottles, but my guess is we are looking at a whisky that is between 7-10 years old. And of course, it is bottled at a bracing 60% ABV or 105 British proof - hence the name. Pour a bit into your glass and it a taste!

Here it is: the classic 25 Year Old Glenfarclas Single Malt Scotch. No corners are cut at Glenfarclas. Even though it is much more expensive, and hard to procure, their focus is still on European oak. Founded in 1836, Glenfarclas is the second oldest family-owned distillery in Scotland.

A'bunadh is a natural single cask strength whisky and is matured in Oloroso sherry casks. It has seen massive price increases in recent years, we have only just brought it back in stock after this was partially rolled back.

Meaning ‘the original’ in Gaelic, A’bunadh is made in homage to Aberlour’s founder, James Fleming, using only traditional methods without chill filtration or other modern processes."

Nose: Terrific aromas of allspice, praline and spiced orange, in harmony with deep notes of Oloroso Sherry.
Palate: Orange, black cherries, dried fruit and ginger, spiked with dark bitter chocolate and enriched with lingering Sherry and oak. Superlatively full bodied and creamy.
Finish: Robust and long lasting, with bittersweet notes of exotic spices, dark chocolate and oak
The village of Aberlour lies in the heart of Speyside. This distllery uses soft water that rises from the granite of Ben Rinnes. In 1826, 'let the deed show' was the motto of founder distiller James Fleming, which still stands today as the philosophy behind all Aberlour's bottlings.
