For over 500 years, the winery has been family-owned and therefore closely linked to viticulture. Since 1995 Marcus Haag, grandson of Willi Haag, runs the wine cellar on his own responsibility. After completing his college studies in viticulture, he took over the entire management in 1997. He successfully combines tradition with modern approaches to viticulture. The winery is a founding member of the Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter eV ( VDP ). The VDP is an association of about 200 top wine estates in Germany. An association that sets standards for wine enjoyment and quality.
This Riesling has everything you would hope and expect for. It is a touch sweeter but great balance that would help it age if so inclined. Loaded with ripe lemon, clementine fruit, mineral and beautiful acidity. Enjoy now or lay it down to see its ageing potential!
