Often regarded as one of the world's finest bourbons, Pappy Van Winkle's 20-Year Family Reserve has won myriad awards and, as a result, isn't easy to find. When you find it, don't hesitate in buying it! There really was a Pappy Van Winkle, by the way; Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle Jr. began working as a salesman for a liquor wholesaler in 1893, when he was just 18 years old. Five years later, he and a co-worker bought the business and the rest, as they say, is history. A favourite of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain!
