Connemara single malt whiskey is made at the Cooley distillery, on Ireland's East Coast Cooley penninsula. Established in 1987 on the site of a former State potato alcohol plant, the conversion took 2 years. When it opened it became the only Independent distillery in Ireland. The sole competition to Irish distillers who owned the other two distilleries in Ireland and all the brands between them.

Nose: Smoke & peat balanced by heather hints of honey & oak. Palate: Smooth w/ a honey, malt & fruit w/ full bodied peat. Finish: Long w/ honey & deep peat, hints of chocolate, vanilla & oak.
