The roots of the Geoffroy family date back to the 17th century. Cumières, a village in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne is where this line of winemakers is rooted. The few acres of vineyards that our ancestors cultivated and handed down from generation to generation provide the link to our Champagnes. At the beginning of the 1950s, Roger Geoffroy and his wife Julienne decided to take the plunge into winemaking and produced their first bottles: the Roger Geoffroy brand was born. René Geoffroy, their son, who loved the land, soon succeeded his father, who died suddenly and too young. An owner-grower to his soul, he acquired new vines, and with the help of his wife Bernadette, they developed and promoted their brand.

This a saignee style of Champagne, meaning it's made from free-run Pinot Noir juice, a rarity in Champagne (most rose styles are a blend of red and white grapes. There is a core of dark red berries in a creamy mousse, delicious stuff.

Exclusive to KWM, the Dumangin Saignee rosé is a beautiful, intensely aromatic Champagne. The grapes are hand harvested, hand sorted then spend about a 48 to 72 hour maceration period. This vintage Champagne is only made in the very best years and is primarily Pinot Meunier (50%) and Pinot Noir. It's fresh and bracing with notes of wild berries and citrus followed by some minerality.

The Champagnes from father-daughter duo Arnaud & Mathilde Margaine are a KWM exclusive, and they are exceptional. With vineyards based in Montagne de Reims, they specialize in Chardonnay (90%) although they also have a small plot of Pinot Noir. This small estate (7 hectares) was started by Arnaud's father (Bernard) in the 1950s and is organically farmed. The vines average 35 years of age, and the Chardonnay is produced from a clone unique to the area.
