"Ardnahoe Chairman’s Selection is a one-off, limited-edition Islay single malt created to the personal specifications of the distillery’s late founder and chairman, Stewart Laing. The most heavily peated Ardnahoe released to date, it stands as a deeply personal tribute to Stewart and the whisky he envisioned for the distillery.
"Drawing upon selected older casks of heavily peated Ardnahoe spirit, this six-year-old whisky was matured predominantly in first-fill sherry casks. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV without artificial colouring or chill filtration, it presents a powerful expression of Ardnahoe’s character while retaining the balance, complexity and elegance that define the distillery.

"Peat smoke leads on the nose with coastal salt and rich cacao. The palate develops with earthy, smouldering smoke, lemon curd, honeyed malt and stewed plums, followed by a long, drying finish of ashy peat embers, cracked black pepper and salted toffee."

The first release of Ardnahoe Cask Strength, fully matured in ex-Bourbon Casks, and bottled at 60.9%, has landed in Canada.

"Ardnahoe Cask Strength is composed exclusively of spirit matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, hand selected for their fullness of character. This Batch 1 has been aged for five years and is offered at its natural cask strength of 60.9%, and is bottled with no artificial colouring and no chill-filtration."

Batch 2 of Ardnahoe Cask Strength is fairly similar to Batch 1, matured exclusively in First-Fill ex-Bourbon Casks, and bottled at 5 years and 61% (as opposed to 60.9%). It even has an identical tasting note... though we'll be the judge of that!

Bottled at 50% from a marriage of first fill ex-Bourbon and first fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks, it is a reference to the deepest loch on Islay, Loch Ardnahoe. 88pts Whisky Fun

"Ardnahoe Infinite Loch has been matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, and is bottled with no artificial colouring and no chill-filtration.
"Loch Ardnahoe's depth is not precisely known, though it's reputed to be the deepest loch on Islay. While it's said to be deep, with risks associated with exploration, a precise measurement hasn't been established. The water within is characterized by its softness, filtering through peat and rock."

The second core release from Ardnahoe, after Infinite Loch, is Bholsa, bottled at 50% after maturing "predominantly" in Olroso sherry casks. The whisky is names for the Bholsa Caves on Islay's north coast.
