Kildalton is the name of a parish on Islay, and often associated with the Ardbeg distillery, which is its closest neighbour. Bottled at 42% from Refill Sherry Butts.
Producer Description
"This release is an extraordinary 19yo “Kildalton” Islay blended malt matured in refill bourbon and sherry casks. Take a sip and find yourself on a beachside walk, the salty air blending seamlessly with the aroma of an old wooden row boat nearby. You take a lick of creamy liquorice ice cream, the sweetness perfectly complementing the briny breeze. Each sip gives you rich, peated notes that encapsulate the essence of an Islay autumn day, creating a truly memorable whisky journey."
$334.99
This 27 year old single malt was bottled at the perilously low cask strength of 40.2%, after maturing in a Bourbon Hogshead. From the confusingly named Speyside Distillery, Cadenhead has doubled down on that by naming it Speyside-Glenlivet... that in itself is a whole thing!
$424.99
This 46 year old Blend is a Living Souls collaboration with Little Brown Dog, another Independent Bottler. The whisky is a marriage of 1978 Glen Garioch with 1979 single grain from the closed Cambus and Carsebridge distilleries. Bottled at 41.2%. 87.29pts Whiskybase
$574.99
This Carsebridge single grain was bottled at 40.2% after 48 years in First Fill ex-Bourbon. 88.65pts Whiskybase
Producer Description
"This extraordinary 48-year-old single grain from the silent Carsebridge Distillery feels like opening a time-sealed doorway into Scotland’s past. Finished in 1st-fill bourbon barrels, it greets you with an elegant sweetness."
