Jameson's Irish whiskey has a long and distinguished history. John Jameson, originally from Scotland, opened the Dublin distillery in 1780 and its whiskey is now world famous for its distinctive character and smoothness. Currently produced in Midleton by Irish Distillers, Jameson's has a pronounced pot still character and is matured in charred American Oak. A favourite whiskey in the Dublin area.
