This 10 year old Ballindalloch (Lagmore) is the first whisky we have seen from this Speyside distillery. Bottled at 48% from a first Fill ex-Bourbon Barrel.

"This juicy “Lagmore” is “mostly” 10-year-old Speyside single estate malt, matured in 1st fill bourbon barrels. This whisky transports you to a sun-dappled orchard at harvest. Baskets overflow with crisp pears and sweet apples, while the scent of freshly baked tarte tatin and rich vanilla custard drifts from a nearby farmhouse. On the palate, this offers a bright, nostalgic sweetness, capturing the simple pleasures of a golden Speyside afternoon.

The third release of Holyrood to come to Canada is Ambir is a whisky created from specialty malts and matured in a mix of 1st and 2nd Fill Bourbon, as well as Oloroso Sherry Butts and Hogsheads. The whisky is bottled at 49.8%.
The recipe for this one is complex, with chocolate, vienna, crystal 240, and caramalt malts all used. More info on the Holyrood website!

This 2nd release of 10 year old Ardnamurchan, 2025 bottling, was bottled at 46.8% after maturing in a mix of 98% Bourbon Barrels and 2% Sherry Casks. The mash was 52% Unpeated and 48% Peated.

I believe that this is the first bottling from Lowland Distillery Annandale that we have seen in Alberta. Bottled by Brave New Spirits and part of its Whisky Heroes line of comic book inspired labels, This Annandale single malt was matured for 8 years in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, then bottled at 52.9%.
About Annandale Distillery
Built in the 1830s and first opened in 1836, Annandale Distillery has a tumultuous history. The distillery was rebuilt and expanded in 1887, and It was purchased by Johnnie Walker & Son in 1895. Johnnie Walker & Son operated Annandale until around 1916 when it was shut down. The distillery site was owned by the Robinson family from 1924 to 2007, but never used for distillation during that time. The Robinson's owned the Provost brand of porridge oats. The distillery buildings were used for production of the porridge, and warehouses on the site homed cattle instead of casks.
The site was purchased in 2007 by David Thomson and Teresa Church, and whisky production began again in 2014. The current Annandale Distillery Company has been releasing official bottlings since 2018, though the focus has curiously been solely on single casks. No plans have been made for a wide-scale release at this time.

This 7 year old Torabhaig is one of the first independent bottlings we have seen of the distillery, bottled at 51.5% from a First Fill ex-Bourbon Barrel.

"This release is a bold single malt from Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye, matured in 1st fill bourbon barrels. A sip takes you to a late summer BBQ by a misty Scottish loch, where the scent of smoked ham hangs in the cool air and laughter echoes off the hills. Flavours of burnt sticky marshmallows and roasted almonds fill the air, creating a sweet and savoury contrast that lingers. This is a dram made for long evenings, full of flavour and lively conversation. "
