Òrbita Venus is the latest project from René Barbier Jr., made in collaboration with friends across Priorat, Montsant, and Conca de Barberà. Working with biodynamically grown fruit and inspired by techniques like velo en flor ageing, the team explores fresh expressions of Trepat and Macabeu. The wines are vibrant, energetic, and full of character.
750 mlGrown by Jordi and Sonia from the Carlania winery, the Macabeu vinified by René Barbier reveals all its complexity and that of its Barbera de la Conca terroir. Its 8-month ageing gives it structure and elegance, making this cuvée a gastronomic wine. The attack is supple, the wine round on the palate with a slight tannic sensation. A fine mineral structure on the finish, with notes of ripe apricots and yellow peaches.
