It didn't take long for Ichiro Akuto to realize that his original distillery was too small, so he opened Chichibu II. Bottled at 55.5% from predominantly ex-Bourbon casks.

"This is the first single malt release from the new, second Chichibu Distillery, which is located just beyond the original Chichibu Distillery. With Ichiro Akuto at the helm as master distiller, this promises to be another one of his highly appraised creations. Still a limited release globally, it is great to see this whisky make it into Canada."

Aroma: Luscious honeyd aromas, caramel, pear, peaty notes and dried tropical fruits.
Palate: More exotic fruits and honey on the palate with a creamy texture and exotic spices.
Finish: Smoky, fruity and long on the finish, with the malt coming through with length.
