This lovely little Linkwood was distilled in 2010, maturing 13 years in an ex-Bourbon Hogshead cask before bottling at 56.8% exclusively for KWM. We weren't looking for another Linkwood cask for the store when we picked this one, but we couldn't turn it down. Bottled 20 days shy of its 14th birthday, it has taken nearly a year to come home, and we are thrilled it is finally here. 295 Bottles.

Nose: decadent, doughy, and floral with bags of juicy fruit; bread & butter, plum, and sticky toffee puddings; dried apricot, fresh orange peel, and cantaloupe; ginger snaps, cinnamon stick, and subtle wood spices; toasted marshmallow and floral top notes.
Palate: juicy, decadent, and toasty with loads of fruit and sweet treats; more bread & butter, plum, and sticky toffee puddings, the latter with a distinct note of fig; add to that some butter tarts, pecan pie, and tarte tatin; more toasted marshmallow too, but now in a s'more; baked apple, dried apricot, orange oil, and grapefruit peel; toasty with woody spices: licorice root, cinnamon sticks, and pickled ginger; runny honey and dewy summer flowers.
Finish: warming, decadent, and toasty with fading spices and soft fruits.
Comment: this is a gorgeous, layered, and elegant Linkwood that just doesn't quit; I could have kept going on my tasting note, but there is more than enough there for you to get the drift; it's rather delicious, but that shouldn't come as a surprise, we wouldn't have put our name on it otherwise; great value too!

This 14 year old Tormore was offered to us by our friends at Elixir Distillers, who purchased the distillery in 2022. While there aren't currently any official distillery bottlings, this cask was part of the distillery purchase, and is technically a Tormore Distillery cask, bottled by the distillery owner. Bottled under the Single Malts of Scotland label, the whisky was filled into a fresh ex-Bourbon Barrel in 2010, and bottled in late 2024 at 55.7%. Only 216 total bottles!

Our first KWM exclusive single cask of Blair Athol is a 14 year old bottled for us by our friends at Berry Bros. & Rudd. The spirit was filled into a hogshead cask, #8939, in 2009, and has been bottled after 14 years at 59.1%. Only 156 total bottles!

"A luscious wee fruit bomb of an Inchmurrin is the latest juice to grace our Decadent Drams series. Distilled in 2012 and matured for over 12 years in a second fill barrel before we bottled it with slight reduction at 57.1%. Pure, grassy, green and full of bright exotic fruit notes - this is highly luscious and fruity whisky, exactly as we love it! Angus had just come back from Japan when he did the label for this one, which is why it is drenched in indigo."
