"Glencadam Reserva PX Single Malt Scotch Whisky is carefully crafted by our Master Distiller in small batches. From Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses, he has carefully selected single malt matured in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks. The single malt in these casks has then been expertly married then finished in hand selected Pedro Ximénez Sherry butts sourced from Andalucia, Spain."

Nose Rich aromas of Christmas pudding, dried figs and dark chocolate bound with cedar and clove spices.
Palate: Sweet layers of maple syrup, treacle toffees and prunes mingled with maraschino cherries, brandy butter and Black Forest Gateaux.
Finish: Warming impressions of cinder toffee, fruit cake and crystallised ginger tailing off into a cherry jam and espresso coffee linger.

Cognac Cask Finish. Might be intriguing! Shame about the 40%, though. These accountant-strength bottlings that Tomintoul and owners Angus Dundee seem to be enamoured with could use a slight shift upwards. No need to make "The Gentle Dram" too gentle.

Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Pronounced orchard fruits and vanilla pod mingled with aromas of citrus peels and toasted nuts.
Palate: Sweet and creamy with layers of sugared almond and panna cotta followed with notes of dried apple, nutmeg and cocoa powder.
Finish: Perfectly balanced with creamy rice pudding and gentle cinnamon spices lingering long on the tongue.
87pts Whisky Fun
"A new livery for the 15, it’s true that the former one was quite strange. Jim McEwan used to say this 15 was his favourite malt, after Bruichladdich of course (err, probably!) Colour: straw. Nose: it’s not that often than a 15 is a 10+5 years, if you see what I mean. Yeah, well, I mean that this one noses exactly like the 10 with five extra-years, that is to say with more vanilla, more spices (soft ones here) and a more refined fruitiness (added ripe strawberries here). The rest is similar (apples, lemon, wax, smoke.) Very nice. Mouth: exactly the same happens on the palate, all flavours playing louder this time. That means that it’s big whisky, full flavoured, interestingly citrusy and getting maybe just a tad too grassy/dry after a while. Quite some vanilla. Gets then funnily medicinal (no Laphroaig though), a tad camphory. Eucalyptus drops. Finish: long, still very zesty. Comments: more complexity in this one, a very entertaining profile. We like this one a lot, and it’s rather fairly priced. SGP:641 - 87 points."

Each of these individual single malts has been either matured fully or finished in hand-selected Oloroso sherry butts, sourced from the partner bodegas in Andalucia, Spain. The Tomintoul Cigar Malt is also referred to as Tomintoul Cigar Malt Parejo, because it has been created to be the perfect ‘Parejo’ (Spanish for “partner”) to the world’s finest cigars. The rich and sweet oloroso sherry notes, creamy malt profile and gentle peat smoke make this single malt the perfect accompaniment to savour alongside your favourite cigar or just to appreciate and enjoy by itself."
