VIRTUAL TASTING SAMPLES CAN BE PICKED UP OR DELIVERED ( FOR A FEE)

**NOTE** We are now offering Both Virtual and in-store tastings. Virtual tastings will clearly state that above the name of the tasting.

Liquor tasting samples for virtual tastings are typically 15ml each unless otherwise indicated.

We offer Free City Wide Delivery within the Calgary city limits for Orders Over $ 250 ** ONLY if all samples can be delivered at the same time. If you are purchasing multiple events - logistically, we may not be able to have all samples ready to go in one delivery. As you do have the option of picking up your samples, we will deliver as much as we can in the first delivery for free, any subsequent deliveries will be $10.
We can arrange shipping within Alberta for a fee. - packaging and shipping fees apply.
We do Not ship out of the Province.

Please be sure to include a valid email address in your order as we will contact participants a few days before the tasting with instructions on how to participate.

Cancellation Policy:

Registrations can be gifted or transferred - you are welcome to allow someone else to take your place if you cannot take part in the tasting.
- For virtual tastings you will need to arrange getting them the samples if you have already received them, You are also responsible to send them the link for the tasting as it will be emailed to the purchaser.
- For in person events, You would need to give us their name for the list if you are not attending.

Tastings are non refundable – For both virtual and In Person events, you will receive a ** store credit for the value if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance of the event. *** PLEASE NOTE: Larger group cancellations (3 or more) for in store tastings require the cancellation request be submitted a minimum of 4 days prior to the tasting for a store credit to be applied.
Due to the logistics of pickup and delivery of samples for virtual , cancellations will not be considered within 7 days of the tasting,** or if you have already received the tastings samples. Once delivered or picked up, we cannot take the tasting bottles back.
Store Credits can be used for anything KWM sells - you do not have to use them specifically for tastings.

Tastings typically start at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Please make sure you are aware of the start time.
We encourage participants to drink responsibly.

Kilkerran (Glengyle Distillery) 20th Anniversary Tasting

The only distillery ever opened out of spite (there is a great story here we'll be sure to tell), Glengyle Distillery (whose whisky goes by the name Kilkerran), is now 20 years old! To mark the occasion, Kilkerran's importer Gold Medal Marketing was offered a 15-year-old Bourbon single cask of Kilkerran single malt. We'll be sampling it, the Kilkerran 16 Year, and all 6 whiskies from the Kilkerran 10 Year Anniversary Pack: Oloroso Wood, Madeira Wood, Fino Wood, Rum Wood, Bourbon Wood, & Port Wood. We'll sample 8 Kilkerrans and raise a glass to the late Hedley Wright while blethering about Kilkerran and Campbeltown.

Cheese Please - Peasant VS KWM

KWM and Peasant Cheese go head-to-head in an interactive cheese and wine showdown. There will be six cheeses paired against six wines. Neither will know what the other is bringing to the table. Through a democratic process (ie., pick a number between x and y), a wine or cheese will be presented. If it starts with a cheese, Marnie will pick a wine to match. If it starts with a wine, Adam/Crystal will pick a cheese to match. The challenge will go back and forth for 6 rounds total. At the end, you can weigh in and declare your favourite match-up of the night. It's proven to be a ton of fun, and educational too.

The Japanese have been making whisky for over 100 years. While it began with what is now the Suntory group in 1923, Nikka, established 1934, was not far behind them. As much as it's been tough to get very excited over most of the Japanese Whisky making its way to our shores, it seems we're at the dawn of a new age. Japanese Whisky is definitely on the rise again. We'll sample a range of whiskies from Nikka, including their 90th Anniversary Bottlings, as well as Ichiro's Malt & Grain and a Chichibu single cask bottled for Alberta.

It's distillery, choice of bottle, and advertising budget are among the most discussed topics by whisky lovers 'round the globe. We have put one of these special releases in this tasting just because we want to see what it is all about ourselves: the glorious and hole-y Macallan Time: Space Mastery. 100 British Proof - An Almost Cask Strength Tasting

Do you know the difference between 100 British Proof and Cask Strength? 100 British Proof, which is approximately 57.1%, is the strength at which the alcohol would light if mixed with gunpowder. If it lit, it was above proof, if it didn't, it was below proof. We will sample a range of 100 Proof whiskies, including more than a few from the Signatory 100 Proof range.

It's a good thing we were always planning to do a tasting with some of the recent arrivals for this range because we clearly didn't order enough. Most of them have already sold out! This range is epic, mostly sherry cask matured, and getting some superb reviews. We'll sample: Auchentoshan 24 Year, Ben Nevis 32 Year, Bowmore 24 Year, Glenlivet 25 Year, Glen Keith 26 Year, Glenrothes 26 Year, and Laphroaig 25 Year. In all, that is 189 years worth of Andrew Symington's finest single malts!
