This is a llimited release of high rye (15-25) content 1792 Bourbon, bottled in bond at 50%. Bottled in Bond Bourbons must be the product of a single season, produced by a single distiller and bottled at exactly 100 US Proof. 

Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: honeyed and doughy; butter tarts, baked banana and bread and butter pudding; brandy soaked cherries and buttery oak; toasted almonds and crushed walnuts with a side of German rye bread.

Palate: big, rich and very spicy; orange rind soaking in the dregs of a Sazerac; still honeyed with oaky vanilla extract, toasted almonds and nocilo (walnut liqueur); baked apple and banana; butter tarts are still there but the spices are making their presence felt: clove, fennel seed and more German rye bread.

Finish: medium long, coating and toasty with the spices dominating its final breath.

Comment: this is my kind of Bourbon, a touch fruity and very spicy with the rye making its presence known; great neat, probably a fine Sazerac whiskey too... I should try that!
