Australia > Margaret River > Wine > Red
Moss wood is a family owned wine company and one of the pioneers for the Margaret River region. Their original plantings date back to 1969 with their first wines being made in 1973. Since then Margaret River has definitely made a name for itself as a well-recognized region in Australia with the wine's popularity consistently increasing.
Winemaker Ian Bell named this powerful red after his grandmother. According to the winery "This wine is made with an emphasis on fruit depth and it is our intention it be enjoyed when young, with a tannin structure that is well balanced and not too confronting. This, of course, means it can be drunk now but as with all Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Margaret River, it has the necessary attributes required for cellaring. For those with the patience and who enjoy softer and more complex older wines, we suggest a further 5 years ageing."
