This rum is a blend of Columbian, Panamanian, and Venezuealan rums matured in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fill ex-Bourbon casks before bottling at 58.4%.
Producer Description
"For this release the team at Casa Santana aged Rums originally sourced (unaged) from Colombia, Panama, and Venezuela, That were then matured using the Cuban Maestro Ronero approach at their facility in Barranquilla. It is a blend of first, second, third fill ex-bourbon cask matured rum, presented at 58.4%ABV, and an absolute stunner. It’s a bottle strength that might seem intimidatingly high, but is surprisingly easy across the palate, and of course, you can add a splash of water which opens and releases many more flavours. The perfect first steps into cask strength Rum. "
About The Label
"The Label: Created by Jim’ll Paint It there are so many strange things going on! We’ve already confirmed that Casa Santana is an ageing, blending house, and so I guess that’s the background sorted. The foreground... Well we might be having a play with a certain pop star that shares a name with our Casa in question. There is of course a condor in a hat, and we all know the condor is the national bird of Colombia! The Sorceress and her winning hand? Well Casa Santana is the place where a number of brands are produced, but one brand in particular is quite dear to the hearts of the team, and we promised not share that directly as we’re sworn to secrecy!
