From experienced California winemaker Anthony Biagi and the renowned Kimberly Jones comes Patria. Patria (translates to Homeland) comes from Oakville Ranch, one of the highest-elevation vineyards within Oakville, producing grapes that a complex, flavourful and balanced. The wine itself is a perfect blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. Together, these grapes create a wine with fierce complexity, bold structure and plush tannins. Aromatic flavours of blackberry, black licorice, herbes de provence and raspberry cordial followed by flavours of roasted plums, pipe tobacco, black currants and cocoa nibs. Dense and with a long life ahead, if cracking within the next year, give it an hour decant before serving. Serve with your favourite beef short rib recipe or a classic American burger.

From near the village of Maury in Southern France, Domaine Courier is a combination of century-old vine Carignan and 70-year old vine Grenache. The older vines give very low yields of concentrated, dark and flavourful fruit that was aged in large casks for three years before bottling. It is a dense and rich wine with aromatic expressions of ripe blackberries, wild thyme, cassis and an underlying note of tobacco. The finish is long and lingers on the palate for a moment or two. You can easily pair this wine with some pork chops, chicken sausages, wild boar or a meat lovers pizza.
