Passionately, they promote the family’s values and continue to bring the best out of the terroir. This 100% Chardonnay Champagne is harvested from vines about 35 years old. It is a blend of newer vintage wine and older vintages, meant to maintain consistency from release to release. Made by excellent grower-producer Laherte Freres.

91 points - William Kelley - "Based on the 2018 vintage and disgorged this year, the NV Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs derives from vines growing in the chalky Côteaux Sud d’Épernay. Unwinding in the glass with notions of crisp green apple, nougat, fresh bread and Meyer lemon, it's medium to full-bodied, chiseled and chalky, with tangy acids and a long, saline finish even in this demonstrative vintage."
Champagne Laherte was founded by Jean-Baptiste Laherte, who set up the family estate in 1889, planting most of the vines in the village of Chavot. The estate today comprises 11 hectares in three distinct areas of the champagne region: Coteaux Sud d’Epernay, Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne.

Laherte Freres provides a range of authentic, pure and unique champagne wines. While relying on the traditional trio of grapes Laherte Freres also has an old plot containing lost grape varietals that were once used centuries ago in champagne. Very unique with few other producers using all seven varietals.

A Kensington Wine Market exclusive! A grower-producer in the heart of Chigny-les-Rose, Giles Dumangin has champagne coursing through his veins. Dating back to the 1650s, the Dumangins have always worked with the vines of Champagne, but it wasn't until 1890 when Hippolyte Dumangin created Champagne Dumangin in the 1er Cru vineyards of Chigny-les-Roses. Five generations later, Champagne Dumangin is producing an array of wines, from their classic, feminine style to their newer, high-end cuvees. This non-vintage blend is made up of 47% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and 16% Pinot Meunier, and it accounts for almost 50% of their production. It is a truly delicious wine, pale salmon in colour with an enticing scent of strawberry. On the palate, it offers subtle notes of raspberry and citrus with some toasty brioche notes on the finish.

It takes its time to get to optimal maturity. Long ageing in barrels on lees for 18 months and exceptional grapes give this wine richness and complexity.

Francois Petit was born and raised in Avize and spent time at the iconic house of Jacques Selosse. He has now taken the reins from his father and is giving us another name to focus on in the village of Avize. Francois and his wife Justine took over for Francois’ father starting in 2015. Right away, they started to farm differently. The focus was to ensure they had a healthy and sustainable vineyard. The Champagne La Rogerie Héroïne is made from 100% Chardonnay harvested from vines in the Grand Cru village of Avize. Made in small quantities (only 7000 bottles!), this wine was aged an impressive 84+ months on the lees.
