92 points from Wine Spectator for this non-vintage beauty! The review: ""Well-spiced and mouthwatering, this vivid Champagne offers a finely detailed bead and expressive flavors of black raspberry, dried apricot, orange blossom, fleur de sel and crystallized honey. Clean-cut and minerally on the finish." The Laherte family has been making Champagne for five generations! This Champagne comes from the Coteaux Sud d'Epernay, Vallee de la Marne and Cote des Blancs. A blend of 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, 40% of which are reserve wines of past years kept in barrels. Aurélien Laherte is one of the hottest growers in Champagne today.

Champagne Laherte was founded by Jean-Baptiste Laherte, who set up the family estate in 1889, planting most of the vines in the village of Chavot. The estate today comprises 11 hectares in three distinct areas of the champagne region: Coteaux Sud d’Epernay, Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne.

Since 2005, Aurélien Laherte, the seventh generation, is giving a new dimension to the estate, while following in the footsteps of his father Thierry and his uncle Christian, the Laherte brothers. Laherte Freres provides a range of authentic, pure and unique champagne wines. While relying on the traditional trio of grapes Laherte Freres also has an old plot containing lost grape varietals that were once used centuries ago in champagne. Very unique with few other producers using all seven varietals.
Kensington Wine Market is privileged to be one of Champagne Laherte Frères' exclusive retail partners since 2013.
