Special Saturday Moss Wood Tasting

This Saturday May 11 we will be hosting a very special Saturday tasting from 2:00 to 5:00 featuring the entire line of Moss Wood Vineyards, our exclusive winery from the Margaret River in West Australia. Please consider this our invitation to welcome you to our Winemaker’s Series. These stunning wines will be paired with Janice Beaton’s perfect cheeses!

Moss Wood Cabernet 2009The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon displays aromas of warm cassis and black plums with underlying nuances of espresso, anise, leather, tar and black olives. Medium to full-bodied, it offers a generous amount of mouth-filling black fruit and earthy flavors supported by a medium to firm level of finely grained tannins and balanced, enlivening acid, finishing long. Drinking well now, it should cellar gracefully to 2022+.
93+ Robert Parker $86.99

Moss Wood Chardonnay 2010The 2010 Chardonnay is scented of peach kernels, yeast extract, toast, ginger and crushed almonds over a core of ripe apricots and warm apple slices. Full-bodied, rich and seductively silky, it fills the mouth with complex savory and ripe stone fruit flavors with a great acid line and a very long finish. Though approachable now, it should drink best 2013 to 2018+.
94 Robert Parker. $50.99

Moss Wood Margaret River Pinot Noir 2008The 2008 Pinot Noir gives moderately pronounced notes of ripe black cherries, mulberries and cinnamon toast over nuances of rose petals and underbrush. Medium bodied with a good backbone of crisp acid and medium level silky tannins, the mouth provides plenty of red berry flavors that linger long into the finish. Drink this one now to 2015.
89 Robert Parker. $52.99

Moss Wood Mornington Pinot Noir 2009Aromas of ripe cherry and strawberry with hints of underbrush, truffles, mace and chocolate. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and a long finish. Drinking now, it should continue to give pleasure to 2016+.
Robert Parker 90 points. $46.99

Moss Wood Semillon 2011Still very youthful, the 2011 Semillon offers delicate notes of waxy lemon, toast, apple tart and ripe pears with a touch of baker’s yeast. Light-bodied with medium to high, balanced acid, it gives a good amount of pure expressive fruit in the mouth and a long toasty finish. It’s very appealing in the relatively primary stage, though should develop nicely over the next 4-6 years+.
89+ Robert Parker $33.99
