Secret Stills Isle of Skye 1986 1986
?"A special bottling of whisky, distilled at Carbost on the Isle of Skye."? The distillery itself never uses anything but bourbon barrels to mature its whisky, but this bottling is from 3 first-fill sherry butts filled by Gordon & MAcPhail in April of 1986 and bottled in May of 2007. At a total production of 1860 bottles it is amazing, and exclusive to Kensington Wine Market. The nose shows sweet-delicate fruit, rich malt, spices and peat-smoke. The Palate is replete with sherry notes and ash, with late spices and pepper. The finish is to die for; sherry notes and a touch of peat.
