Provenance Imperial Sherry
Imperial was closed for most of the 101 years it operated between 1897 and 1998. Part of the Chivas brothers group the distillery was closed because it was deemed not flexible enough with respect to production. The distillery was not without its charm, it sits along the River Spey surrounded by pine forests and its large manicured lawns which have been kept to this day. This rare bottling of Imperial as a single malt has been matured in a single sherry butt. It is an essay in subtlety. The palate is creamy and soft with rich spicy notes and caramelized fruit.
