Barrel-fermented Chardonnay of finesse and opulence, this wine shows Paolo De Marchi's feather-light touch in dealing with this "overexposed" grape variety. Not the sublime product of a cool weather climate (Burgundy) nor the thick juice of the southern hemisphere, this is Chardonnay of sweet lemon-zest aromas and a lush and fine palate. Complex and fresh, it matches well with earthy, summer fare.
